1. About This Policy
Auroratik operates auroratik.com to help Canadian businesses explore Alibaba.com membership options through an initial free 30-minute consultation. This policy explains how personal information is collected, used, and disclosed when you visit our website, book a consultation, or communicate with us.
The consultation does not require a membership purchase or payment. Membership activation, business verification, onboarding, and subsequent services are separate processes subject to confirmed arrangements.
2. Information We Collect
- Contact and business information: your name, email address, company name, and any phone number, website, product information, business goals, or questions you choose to provide.
- Booking information: your selected appointment, time zone, scheduling responses, and information needed to confirm, reschedule, or cancel a consultation.
- Communications: information you share by email or during our consultation, including relevant written follow-up notes. Auroratik does not record consultation audio or video.
- Website usage information: device and browser information, IP address, cookie identifiers, and information about your interaction with the website, processed through Shopify and subject to applicable consent settings.
Please do not email or upload identity documents, financial records, or business verification materials for the initial consultation. If you decide to proceed, the appropriate submission process will be explained separately.
3. How We Use Information
- Respond to enquiries and arrange the consultation.
- Understand your business and discuss whether Alibaba.com may be a suitable option.
- Send appointment confirmations, meeting details, and relevant consultation follow-up.
- Coordinate requested next steps with the relevant service team.
- Operate, secure, and understand the use of our website.
- Meet applicable legal obligations and address complaints or disputes.
Booking a consultation does not subscribe you to a marketing mailing list. Auroratik does not currently use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or separate email-marketing tools on this website.
4. Shopify, Cookies, and Platform Data Use
Our website is hosted by Shopify. Shopify processes information about website access and use to operate, secure, and improve its services.
Shopify Network Intelligence is currently enabled. Shopify may combine information from interactions with this website with information from other merchants and Shopify to provide enhanced services, including product improvements, personalization, performance insights, and advertising-related features. This platform setting is separate from whether Auroratik runs its own advertising campaigns.
Shopify processes information for these enhanced services under its own privacy terms and handles rights requests relating to that processing. Read the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and visit the Shopify Privacy Portal for information and available choices.
Where displayed, use our cookie banner or the “Cookie preferences” link in the website footer to manage non-essential cookie choices. You can also control cookies through your browser. Some essential technologies are needed for website operation and security.
5. Calendly and Consultation Services
We use Calendly to schedule consultations. When you follow our booking link, Calendly processes the information you enter and makes relevant appointment details available to Auroratik. Scheduling may also involve connected calendar, email, and online-meeting services needed to deliver your appointment.
These providers may process information under their own privacy terms. Please review the Calendly Privacy Notice and the privacy information provided by the meeting service identified in your invitation.
6. Sharing and Next Steps
We use service providers for website hosting, scheduling, email, calendars, and online meetings. Information is shared as needed for those services.
If you request further assistance with membership, we will explain the proposed handoff and obtain your consent before sharing relevant contact or business information with Luckylit or the onboarding service team. An initial booking alone does not authorize the transfer of business verification documents.
Auroratik, Luckylit, and Alibaba.com are separate businesses. Any later verification or onboarding process may involve additional privacy notices and requirements.
Information may also be disclosed when required or permitted by applicable law, to respond to valid legal requests, or to protect rights and security.
7. Storage, Retention, and Security
Our service providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws and lawful access requests.
Personal information should be retained only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including relevant follow-up, legal obligations, and dispute resolution, and then deleted or anonymized as appropriate. You may contact us to request deletion, subject to applicable exceptions.
No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. Please avoid sending sensitive or confidential documents through ordinary email or booking fields.
8. Your Choices and Requests
Depending on applicable law, you may request access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, or withdrawal of consent. Some information may need to be retained for legal or other permitted reasons. Withdrawing information needed for an appointment may affect our ability to provide it.
You may ask us to stop consultation follow-up at any time. To make a privacy request or complaint, contact Allan Zhou at allan@auroratik.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding. You may also contact the applicable privacy regulator, including the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
9. Children and External Links
Our services are intended for adult business representatives, not children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us.
External websites have their own privacy practices. Linking to them does not place their data processing under Auroratik’s control.
10. Updates and Contact
We will update this policy when our practices change and provide additional notice or obtain consent where required. The date above identifies the latest revision.
